DELIGHTED AT BIEDERMEIER

This beautiful antique ring dates from the Biedermeier period,

from the Mid-19th century and is crafted in 14 carat yellow gold.

It is set in the center with freshwater pearls and small pink rubies.

Biedermeier rings were typically  rings with a pearl or other gemstone

a pearl or other gemstone as the main decoration.

The pearls were often seen as a symbol of purity and beauty and

were therefore very popular in jewelry making.

It was a time of prosperity and growing interest in jewelry.

The antique ring is in very good condition with minor signs of wear due to age.

Material:     14 carat yellow gold, freshwater pearls, old-cut pink rubies

Provenance:  probably England around 1840/50
