COLOR GAME

This enchanting, delicate and antique ring dates from the second half of the 19th century around 1880/90.

It is crafted in 14-karat gold and the ring head is designed in an extravagant marquise or navette shape .

The Victorian boat-shaped ring is set in the middle  with three opal cabochon gemstones with a fantastic play of colors. 

It is cut in the cabochon cut . Here, the top of the gemstone is cut into a smooth, curved surface, 

while the underside remains flat. This type of cut was used on this opal to emphasize its unique veining, 

its color effects, as well as color variation and the "glow". This enhances its symbolism.

The opal is decorated with shimmering creamy freshwater pearls.

These give the beautiful ring a very special charm.

The antique ring is in a very good condition with minor signs of wear due to age
