This extraordinary antique ring has a classic flat shield shape,

centered with a white diamond, already in brilliant cut.

Geometric, flat shapes with interesting surface finishes

dominated the world of jewelry in the years of Art Déco. 

The diagonally designed stylized sunbeams in the corners of the shield 

are a characteristic design element of this Art Deco ring and are used here, 

to bring movement and dynamism to the piece of jewelry. 

The so-called  Millegriff technique, a special decoration method, was painstakingly applied by hand, 

in which tiny grains are applied to the surface of the metal, 

to create a sparkling and textured appearance.

The rare ring is made from high-quality 18-karat white gold 

dates back to the first third of the 20th century in France and is also platinum-plated, typical of the period.

The ring shank isengraved with two hallmarks .

One is the "eagle's head" (gold mark) and the other is the  "dog's head" (platinum mark).

The use of the surrounding  old-cut diamonds, which have a special cut shape from 

from before the 20th century, is another typical feature of Art Deco.
