It depicts a classic lady's head in side profile in very finely detailed work.

The alternation of day and night is reflected here in a black and white layered agate. 

This is rounded off by a simple and beautiful gold setting and rail.

This layered agate cameo dates from around 1880 in England and is set in 9 carat yellow gold.

The cameo is of the highest quality.
