ANTIQUE EARRINGS

These fine antique garnet earrings date from the years around 1870/80, 

from the late 19th century. 

The garnet is a gemstone that occurs in many different colors, but in antique pieces of jewelry

often found in deep red in antique jewelry. The garnet gemstones were intricately faceted in the earrings, 

to catch the light and give them a sparkling appearance.

They are crafted in 14-karat yellow gold and shaped like a drop.

The brisur is designed as a flower. The central garnet drop is cut in a teardrop shape and is movable.
