This rare antique coral necklace from the Biedermeier period around 1830 was brought over the Alps from Italy as an impressive souvenir from a long journey.

It is very elaborate and sculpted.

The design of the setting with its engravings and decorative ornaments can be dated to around 1830/40.

The countless small natural corals from the Mediterranean are painstakingly knotted by hand into six individual strands and

and form the antique choker necklace with finely graduated curves.
