This is how this gold photo medallion was created around 1880/90. 

Heart-shaped medallions are extremely popular and rare. 

There is a swallow motif on both sides.

A flying swallow with floral decoration is romantically depicted.

This antique medallion is of the highest quality and dates from around 1870/80.

The antique locket is stamped with 9 carat B & F on the back.

The matching chain is modern and gold-plated.

The heart-shaped antique locket is wonderfully preserved and radiates with its rare heart shape.
