The lush growth of plants found multiple forms of representation in the decorative art of the years around 1900. In Art Nouveau, the plant became a visible symbol of powerful growth. The plant stands for harmony, virtue, youth, as the mystical center of life, soul, heart and love.

This antique pendant is a prime example of perfect Art Nouveau. A pendant  in a stylized heart shape was created from silver in outstanding master craftsmanship.

The central flower depicts a lily surrounded by other floral plant elements with foliage.

The heart-shaped setting nestles protectively and tightly around the lily.

This breathtaking piece of jewelry is made by master craftsmen, dates from the Art Nouveau period around 1900 and is silver-gilt.
